Common questions
Pricing, Straight Up
How do quotes work?
We look at the job, walk you through what's needed, then give you a fixed price before anyone picks up a tool. There's no obligation to book once you've heard it.
Do prices change once you start?
No. The price we quote is the price you pay, full stop. If something unexpected turns up mid-job, we stop and talk to you before doing anything extra.
What does "$50 off when you book online" cover?
Book your job through the website rather than by phone and $50 comes off the quoted price. It stacks with the free quote, just not with the seniors discount.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No. $0 call-out fee on every job, whether it turns into a five-minute fix or a bigger repair. You only pay for work you've approved.
Common questions
The Legal Stuff, Made Simple
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. NSW plumbing licence #275278C, Master Plumber accredited, and covered by $20 million public liability insurance. Every job is carried out by a licensed plumber.
What warranty do I get?
A lifetime labour warranty on the work we do. If it's not right, we come back. No questions, no cost to you.
Can I clear a blocked drain myself?
A plunger on a simple sink or toilet blockage is fine to try. Chemical drain cleaners and hired eel machines can crack old earthenware pipes, though, and any actual drainage repair in NSW legally needs a licensed plumber.
Do wipes really block drains?
Yes, packaging that says flushable doesn't mean the sewer line agrees. Wipes hold their shape long after toilet paper's gone soft, and they're behind a big share of the blocked toilets we get sent out for.
Common questions
When We Can Come
What counts as a drain emergency?
Sewage coming back up inside the house, every drain in the place refusing to take water, or a gully overflowing while it's tipping down outside. Any of those, ring straight away instead of sitting on it.
How do I book online?
Fill in the short form on our contact page with what's going on and the best number to reach you. We'll ring back to lock in a time, and booking that way carries the $50 online offer.
Are you really open 24/7?
Yes, 365 days a year including weekends and public holidays. A real person answers the phone, not a machine, no matter what time it is.
What happens after I call?
You'll talk through the problem with a licensed plumber, and we dispatch someone your way. They'll take a proper look, quote you on the spot, and only start once you've said yes.
Common questions
Working in and Around Roseville
Why do Roseville's older drains keep blocking?
A lot of Roseville's Federation and inter-war homes still run on their original earthenware pipework. That clay cracks with age and lets tree roots and soil in, so the same spot can block again months later if the pipe itself isn't dealt with.
Do you know Roseville's pipe stock?
We do. Homes around Lord Street, Clanville Road and The Grove are mostly Federation and Californian bungalow builds from the 1890s to the 1930s. They were laid with earthenware drains that are well past their intended lifespan now.
Do tree roots really get into pipes here?
Constantly. Roseville's big blocks and heavy street canopy mean roots are chasing moisture year-round, and old clay joints are exactly where they find a way in. It's the single most common callout we get in the area.
How local are you, really?
We work Roseville and the rest of Ku-ring-gai regularly, not as a one-off drive-in. That means a tech who already knows the streets and the kind of pipework to expect, before they've even parked.
